Augmented Mandolin

Prototyped an augmented acoustic instrument with electromagnetic actuators and a flexible capacitive touch sensor. Integrated Arduino and BELA for real-time performance.

  • Led a 4-person team across mechanics, electronics, and firmware
  • Modeled and fabricated actuator mounts in SolidWorks
  • Live demo recognized for innovative use of electromagnets
